Mill And Design is a small UK games studio. We draw, build, test and host every game on this site ourselves, then let you play them for free.
Why "the mill"
A mill takes raw material and turns it into something useful, again and again, with care. That's how we think about games.
Each game starts on paper as a sketch and a list of feelings we want it to create: the hum of an arcade, the creak of a castle drawbridge, the tick of a vault full of clocks. Our artists design the symbols, our developers build the game to run in any browser, and we test it on real phones before it goes live.
Because we make everything in-house, there are no outside game providers, no adverts inside the games and nothing to buy. You just open a game and play.
How a game is made
Sketch
We pick a theme, a mood and a sound, and draw the first symbols and screens.
Build
Developers turn the design into a fast browser game that works on phones, tablets and computers.
Test and launch
We play it on real devices, fix the rough edges and host it on our own server.
What we stand for
Free, honestly
No purchases, no cash value, no prizes. Coins and levels are just for fun.
Safe by design
Accounts and forms are handled on our server with encrypted passwords and protected storage.
Adults, in balance
We're 18+ and UK only, and we make it easy to take a break whenever you want.
